For many applications the standard USB 15 foot reach is just not long enough. This product allows you to extend the USB connection up to 246 feet. It does this by using a unique signal booster chipset that preserves both the integrity of your data and voltage requirements. These active repeaters ensure both transmit and receive signals are preserved over the full length of the cable, resulting in maximum performance for peripherals such as security cameras or remote printers to name just a few.
The product comprises of two units, local that connects into your computer and remote that connects into your USB device. These units are interconnected with Cat5, Cat5e, or Cat6 cabling. The USB Xtra Booster Ethernet Extender is bus powered, however, if your particular needs require additional power there is an optional AC adapter (Part Number - GUCE61AC) available. This item is easy install with no software programs or drivers required.
