The SAT3520U3SR USB 3.0 RAID Enclosure turns two 3.5" SATA (SATA I, SATA II, SATA III) hard drives into an external RAID array through a USB 3.0 connection. The drive enclosure also supports non-RAID operation, so both drives can be used independant.
Compliant with the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 specification, which can provide up to 5 Gbps of data bandwidth (10x more than USB 2.0), the SAT3520U3SR RAID enclosure makes it easier and faster to transfer or stream large amounts of data. Although the dual drive enclosure will perform at peak speeds when connected to a USB 3.0 host computer, it is also more than suitable for use with older systems, as it is backward compatible with USB 2.0 connections.
