The Amer.com Single IP Management (SIM) allows virtual stacks of up to 16 SS2GD8i dispersed switches with fewer distance limitations through a single IP address without the distance limitations imposed by stacking cables. The virtual stacks can comprise of switches anywhere on the network, making it perfect for businesses that require deployment across multiple buildings. The two combo-SFP ports allow flexibility in choosing copper or fiber connections along with the 6 high speed Gigabit copper connections already provided by the switch. All of these features are built into a noise free fanless design to ensure quiet operation wherever the switch is installed.
