I bought two of these IP Cams as baby monitors and later as video surveillance cams. POE works great. My wife can see the kids with her iPad. I am using my Nexus7 and iPhone. Really great quality. Particular if you compare with the prices of the "baby monitoring" hardware. Here a link of a review I used as reason to purchase: Setup was easy: Add cam to network, DHCP will hand shake and give address, scan network for new device and just enter ip into browser. I noticed that Google Chrome has a bit of a hick up with the front end of the cam, but worked after "updating Java" and some other requests. Once you are in the admin console, consider to change IP to static, so you won't lose by accident the ip once the lease is up. My static ip range is outside of the dhcp range to make sure, that there is no ip conflict at any time. Don't forgot to change the default dummy admin password. :) I was set up within 4 min- literally. ----------- This was my first purchase with And what joy it was! I was a bit sceptical, when I followed the link from a price search engine (CV was the cheapest with this cam), but after google-ing them it and reading good reviews made me do it. Glad that I did. TigerDirect.... NCIX ... if you read this. Delete me from your database. I ain't coming back. CV's delivery was super fast and no headache, like my 2x experience with NCIX: "PLEASE CALL TO CONFIRM YOUR ORDER" and having busy lines. Good job, Computervalley!
